Fire in northwestern Attica brought under control

A fire that broke out on Wednesday in low vegetation in the area of Schisto in northwestern Attica has been brought under control, firefighters said.

The fire broke out at around 2 p.m. near the residential boundaries of Ano Korydallos and spread quickly through dry bush.

Eleven vehicles of the fire service with 42 firefighters and two water dropping aircraft attended the scene.
