Perachora fire contained

A forest fire that broke out Monday afternoon in the area of Perachora, west of Athens, has been contained, according to the Fire Service.
Six fire engines with 22 firefighters and a foot patrol unit are still operating in the area, in the Corinth regional unit.
Fire fighting aircraft and helicopters left the area at sundown, the Fire Service says.
