With Bollywood, fusion and a discreet minimalism, trends in interior design have little in common. «Clear-cut trends do not exist,» said Sophie Deloudi, of the Deloudi firm. But minimalism has dominated over the last few years. There «is a return to the designs of major architects of the ’30s through to the ’70s… by Le Corbusier and others. They lasted several decades and I don’t believe they will go out of fashion,» Deloudi said. But Bollywood – oriental kitsch – fashion has also reached Greece. The cultural mix and match of fusion also has its niche. «From there on,» Deloudi said, «anything goes, both bright and earth colors.» The latter «are never likely to leave the home, because they are timeless, classic and restful.»
