Cotton farmers from Thessaly…

Cotton farmers from Thessaly enjoy the wintry sun yesterday at a tractor roadblock near the village of Platykambos on the national highway from Athens to Thessaloniki, which they blocked for the fourth day in a row. Protesters are demanding that cotton-processing plants take in their crops, although the legal deadline has expired. Farmers also mounted a series of wildcat roadblocks in other parts of Thessaly. The government said it might let some farmers who missed the deadline bring in their crop next month.
