About 1,000 school guards demanding that they be hired on a permanent basis blocked traffic in the city’s heart for an unbelievable seven hours yesterday, as they wondered from ministry to ministry, choking off main arteries and even lighting a fire at the junction of Amalias and Vassilisis Sofias avenues outside Parliament. Thousands of drivers were stuck for hours and public transport paralyzed.
