Man found shot dead at Cyprus car repair shop
A man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head at a car repair shop in southeastern Cyprus, in the enclave of Ormideia, on Tuesday. His identity has not yet been determined.
Authorities were alerted following reports of a shooting. Officers with the British Bases Police discovered the body, while authorities are currently searching for the owner of the garage in connection with the case.
Ormideia is one of four enclaves surrounded by the Eastern Sovereign Base Area of Dhekelia, a British Overseas Territory.
A strong police presence remains at the scene, which has been cordoned off as officers gather evidence.
The British Bases Police, in cooperation with the Republic of Cyprus Police, are investigating the incident, which is being treated as a murder.
