Trial of journalist accused of domestic violence postponed

The trial of a journalist accused of domestic violence has been postponed on Wednesday until Friday.

Currently, the journalist remains in custody. Earlier on Wednesday, the journalist, who works as a contractor at the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT), was charged with a misdemeanor for repeated domestic threats. 

However, the prosecutor also ordered an investigation into alleged offenses committed by the accused in the past against his estranged wife and current partner.

The journalist was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, after his partner went to a domestic violence unit in downtown Omonia, reporting that he had assaulted her.
