4.6 earthquake shakes Mount Athos
A magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck the Mount Athos monastic community in northeastern Greece on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Athens Geodynamic Institute, the quake was centered 8 kilometers northwest of Mount Athos at a depth of 12.8 kilometers.
A few minutes later, a strong aftershock of magnitude 3.9 was also recorded.
No damage or injuries have been reported.
