Second tremor hits Crete

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck on Sunday off the island of Crete, southern Greece, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.

The Athens Institute of Geodynamics reported the quake’s location at about 50 kilometers off the south coast of Crete at a depth of 26 kilometers.

A magnitude 5.9 quake hit the same region on Saturday evening.
