Strike to halt railway services Wednesday, Thursday
All domestic railway services will be suspended on Wednesday and Thursday as employees of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) are to hold a 48-hour strike to protest the government?s plans to streamline the loss-making organization.
Passengers who have booked tickets for international travel will be transfered to the border by bus where their journey will resume. The domestic legs of foreign routes will be cancelled.
The section of the Athens Metro route between Doukissis Plakentias station and the airport will be out of service on the same days as it uses the same track management system as OSE.
