Out-of-hours EOPYY call charges to be dropped
People calling healthcare provider EOPYY’s hotline on 14784 out of hours will no longer be charged, following the intervention of the Greek Ombudsman.
Until now, anyone calling before 7 a.m. or after 7 p.m. was not informed that the service to book appointments with doctors was unavailable.
Instead, they were left to wait until an operator answered their call to inform them that appointments could not be made.
Callers were charged 98 cents for the call.
Following the Ombudsman’s complaints, callers will hear a recorded message telling them they have to call back between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and won’t be charged for the call.
