More stoppages on public transport

Public transport workers protesting government plans to streamline the firms employing them aim to disrupt services through Thursday.

On Tuesday bus services will be suspended from 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. and trolley buses between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Piraeus-Kifissia urban electric railway (ISAP) will not run from noon to 4 p.m. while the metro and tram will run as normal.

More action is expected throughout the week. Protesting workers are set to hold another 24-hour strike on Wednesday.
