Pharmacists decide on more strikes
Pharmacists in Piraeus on Monday launched a fresh 48-hour strike as representatives of unions around the country decided late on the same day to hold two 24-hour strikes in the week ahead.
The first strike will be held on Friday, February 4, and another for Monday, February 7 to protest the opening up of their sector to competition.
The pharmacists? union is to reconvene next Wednesday to decide on how to continue with the protest against the government?s liberalization measures.
Pharmacies around the country were closed for six days during the past two weeks as their owners are angry PASOK has not taken their suggestions on board.
