Public transport workers will stage a series of work stoppages on Friday in protest at the government?s reforms of the sector.
As a result, there will be no service on the metro or the Kifissia-Piraeus electric railway (ISAP) before 8 a.m. Buses will stop running between 11 a.m. and 3.30 p.m.
There will be no trolley buses or tram between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Workers are also due to meet at Omonia Square at 11.30 a.m. to form a convoy of motorcycles that will drive to the Transport Ministry in the northeastern suburb of Holargos, where they will hold a demonstration.
The transport employees are expected to ask for a meeting with the transport minister.
