Patra suspects released pending trial for clashing with police

Eleven of 12 people arrested during clashes with police in the western port of Patra on Saturday were released pending trial.

The 12 suspects were arrested on suspicion of being part of a group of far-left protesters that attacked a police cordon at a central hotel where ultranationalist party Golden Dawn was hosting an event.

Eleven of the 12 have been scheduled to stand trial on Wednesday and were released from custody, while the 12th is still being held as he is a foreign national who could not display proper documentation.
