Storms to break protracted heat wave
A protracted heat wave that saw temperatures hovering between 30 and 37 degrees Celsius (86 to 98.6 Fahrenheit) for two weeks was expected to break on Saturday with meteorologists forecasting storms across much of the country, particularly in central and northern parts, from the afternoon.
By Saturday night, storms are expected in Macedonia, Thessaly as well as the Sporades with meteorologists forecasting high winds and hailstorms in some areas.
