Athens public transport to switch to summer schedule

Summer timetables for public transport in Athens will begin from Saturday.

Buses will be the first to roll out their reduced schedule, followed by the tram on Monday.

The metro and Kifissia-Piraeus electric railway will reduce the frequency of services from Monday, July 8.

For July, the cost of monthly travel cards will also be brought down, with a ticket for all modes of public transport costing 44 euros and one for buses, trolley buses and the tram costing 9.50 euros.
