Turkish Foreign Minister congratulates Venizelos
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has called Evangelos Venizelos, who was earlier this week placed at the helm of Greece’s foreign ministry, to congratulate him on his appointment, the government said Thursday.
The two men agreed to meet “at the soonest possible time,” a statement by the ministry said.
PASOK chief Venizelos was also appointed deputy prime minister in a reshuffle prompted by the departure of a junior coalition party from the conservative-led coalition.
