Metro stoppage planned for Monday
There will be no service on the metro in Athens before 4 p.m. on Monday due to a work stoppage by employees who will be protesting possible sackings in the public sector and the transfer of personnel from public transport companies.
In their statement, the metro workers? union said it had decided on a work stoppage rather than a 24-hour strike so it could provide a service for people wishing to take part in the ?Indignant? protest in the city center on Monday afternoon and evening.
