GENOP strikes said to cost up to 40 mln euros
Public Power Corporation (PPC) CEO Arthouros Zervos said on Friday on the sidelines of a general assembly that the recent strikes by the PPC workers? union GENOP have cost the company between 30 and 40 million euros in damages. PPC, which is majority-owned by the state, is one of the public assets that is being considered for privatization, which is what GENOP was protesting against, though Zervos said that the exact nature of the privatization process was not yet clear.
