Seamen, trolley bus drivers walk off the job on Wednesday

Employees at ports across Greece were set to walk off the job from noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The seamen are protesting government plans regarding port provatizations.

The industrial action was also being organized in view of general assemblies called by unions.

Trolley buses in Athens were also expected to halt services from 11.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday due to a general assembly meeting called by the staff’s union.
