Emergency trip to Brussels for top Greek bank officials

Giorgos Provopoulos, the governor of the Bank of Greece, and Vassilis Rapanos, head of the Hellenic Bank Association, departed for Brussels on Thursday.

According to Skai and Kathimerini reports, the two officials were invited by Prime Minister George Papandreou to take part in the negotiations regarding the Greek debt crisis in a eurozone summit meeting in Brussels on the same day.
