Cypriot diplomat due for talks

Cyprus?s new foreign minister, Erato Markoulli, is due in Athens on Thursday for her first official visit to Greece.

Markoulli, appointed during last week?s reshuffle, is set to have talks with her counterpart, Stavros Lambrinidis, and President Karolos Papoulias. She may also meet Prime Minister George Papandreou. Lambrinidis is due to visit Norway and Denmark this week as part of an effort to inform other European governments and voters about the effort Greece is making to get its public finances back on track. Lambrinidis has already visited Germany, Austria, Poland and the UK for this purpose. He is also due to travel to Sweden soon.
