Two armed hold ups; one man injured

A 32-year-old Kazakh was being treated for minor gunshot injuries at an Athens hospital after being held up by armed robbers in the travel agency in which he worked in the Athenian neighborhood of Kallithea on Wednesday.

According to witnesses, two armed men held up the travel agency on busy Sophocleous Street at 1 p.m., shooting the office clerk as they made off with an unspecified amount of cash.

Meanwhile, police in the northern Peloponnesian town of Corinth were looking for four suspects on Wednesday who help up a factory in the neighborhood of Kalamaki at gunpoint and escaped in a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
