Rape charges brought in case of 12-year-old
A 45-year-old man charged with the rape of a 12-year-old girl has allegedly admitted to harassing the girl following hours of questioning by police in the northern city of Kavala on Friday.
The suspect, who has served a six-year jail term in Germany following his conviction on rape charges in the past, was positively identified in a lineup, police said.
According to the police report, the unnamed suspect lured the girl into his car as she was running an errand and took her to a secluded beach, where he raped her and then abandoned her.
