Protesters interrupt news bulletin
Protesters late Sunday occupied a studio at the Athens headquarters of state broadcaster ERT, interrupting a news bulletin in a protest against the socialist government’s university reforms.
A group of over 50 protesters, who claimed to be students, interrupted the NET news bulletin and demanded that they be allowed to read out a statement live on air explaining their opposition to recent legislation designed to reform the structure and operation of Greece’s tertiary education.
Reports said the group left the studio after channel officials agreed to record a statement that would be read out during the news program.
