No cabs for second day; other transport services return
There will be no taxis operating for the second day in a row on Thursday as cabbies continue a 48-hour strike, but public transport services will be back in service following Wednesday?s daylong walkout.
The head of the Attica taxi drivers? union, Thymios Lyberopoulos, insisted on Wednesday that cabbies would not back down in their protests and warned Transport Minister Yiannis Ragousis would ?have to walk over 50,000 dead bodies? to pass legislation to open their sector to competition.
