A provincial university professor whom police leaks have linked with the November 17 group has been interviewed by the examining judge heading investigations into Greek left-wing terrorist organizations, sources said yesterday. Giorgos Economakis, who teaches political economics at the University of the Aegean, was called as a witness by Leonidas Zervobeakos on Tuesday to testify whether he knew anything about N17, ELA and May 1. He denied any ties with the groups. Economakis, whom police suspect of being the N17 member code-named «Parkinson,» mentioned by N17 suspect Savvas Xeros, did not give sworn testimony. This implies he may be summoned in the future to answer terror-related charges.
