Tempe pass to close

The section of the Athens-Thessaloniki national road passing through the Vale of Tempe in central Greece will be closed from November 14 to 25 for maintenance work.

Experts will be checking for loose rocks.

An Italian engineer was killed last December during a rockfall in Tempe that led to the road being closed for several weeks.

Diversions will be in place.
