Ex-PM to attend Spinelli Group meeting
Greece’s former prime minister, Costas Simitis (photo) is due to visit Brussels next week for a meeting of the Spinelli Group, a European Parliament intergroup that aims to relaunch the federalist project in Europe.
The gathering of the group, which also includes former German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer and Jacques Delors, who served as the eighth president of the European Commission, will take place parallel to the European Union summit on December 8 and 9.
