Lower temperatures over the weekend
Wintry weather is expected this weekend, with lower temperatures across the country starting on Friday, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service.
Showers and storms are expected on Friday in the eastern parts of the Aegean Sea, central and northern Greece, with winds reaching 4-6 Beaufort at sea.
On Saturday, cloudy weather accompanied by showers and storms is expected to prevail in western and northern parts of the country, as well as islands in the eastern part of the Aegean Sea.
Cloudy weather with showers is expected on Sunday in Thrace as well as east Aegean islands and the Dodecanese, while the rest of the country will observe clouds, rain or short-lived storms. Snow might fall on mountain areas in central and northern Greece.
