Cypriot civil servants, air-traffic controllers strike

Airports and government offices were on strike in Cyprus on Thursday in a protest by civil servants and air-traffic controllers against austerity measures, including a freeze on wages.

Seventy-nine flights to and from the country?s airports had to be rescheduled because of the strike.
