Torture sentences handed
An Athens court on Tuesday handed five-year jail sentences to two policemen found guilty of torturing Afghan refugees.
The incident took place in the central neighborhood of Aghios Panteleimonas in December 2004, when a group of Afghans were tortured by police in a bid to extract information from them regarding a compatriot.
