‘Anarchists’ occupy Flash Radio

A group of some 30 self-styled anarchists on Tuesday morning occupied the studio of Flash Radio in the Greek capital, where they interrupted the regular program in order to read out an announcement in support of Revolutionary Struggle, considered a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union, as well as a long essay on the what they believe are the problems of the Greek economy.

Eight suspected members of the far-left Revolutionary Struggle are currently on trial for around 15 attacks since 2003, including firing a rocket-propelled grenade into the US Embassy in Athens in 2007.

Police said they arrested 20 people who participated in the occupation of the studio on Kifissias Avenue in the suburb of Maroussi. They will be charged with a felony count of praising terrorism.
