Man receives 9-month sentence for animal cruelty
An Athens court on Tuesday sentenced a 55-year-old Albanian man to nine months in jail for beating a dog to death, and seriously injuring another, using a sledgehammer.
The man was ordered to kill the dogs by his employer, the court heard.
