Arrests in Athens and Halkidiki over tax evasion
Two entrepreneurs, a man and a woman both aged 44, were arrested on Tuesday in the northern Athens suburb of Drosia for owing more than 175,000 euros each to the state.
Meanwhile police in Halkidiki, northern Greece, detained two local hoteliers — both males, aged 37 and 42 — for allegedly withholding a total of more than 635,000 euros in value-added tax from the state.
