Tenders for new waste processing sites on the way
The tenders for the construction of four new waste processing sites in Attica will be launched in the next three to four week, Environment Minister Giorgos Papaconstantinou said on Tuesday.
The facilities will be built at Fyli, Liosia, Grammatiko and Keratea.
Previous plans to build a facility in Keratea were abandoned last year after protests by locals.
Papaconstantinou said a new location could be used if the municipality puts forward a complete proposal ahead of the tender.
