Courts close for 3 days due to strike by lawyers

Courts in Greece will be closed from Wednesday through Friday as lawyers based in the capital stage the latest in a series of nationwide strikes to protest the government?s plans to open their sector to competition and other reforms being demanded by foreign creditors.

Regulations lifting restrictions on the lawyers? profession form part of draft reforms that are due to be voted through Parliament on Thursday.
