PPC says will not cut power in cold snap
The Public Power Corporation has ordered its offices around northern Greece, which has been particularly hard hit by the recent cold snap, not to cut electricity supplies to households that have not paid bills including a controversial property tax levy.
In two cases ? one in Elliniko, south of Athens, and the other on the Ionian island of Zakynthos — where PPC officials cut the electricity supply to homes of disabled residents, apologies were made and the power restored.
