Pharmacies to stay closed on Tuesday
Pharmacies will be closed on Tuesday afternoon as part of a protest against the government?s plans to resubmit to Parliament a bill that foresees the complete freeing up of the stores? opening hours.
The draft law, which aims to remove all restrictions on the hours that pharmacies can open, was rejected by the majority of MPs last week but Health Minister Andreas Loverdos said he would resubmit it this week.
The Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association said that the change in the law would lead to confusion among customers and potential mistakes by overworked pharmacists.
