Judges rule financial prosecutors should keep jobs

A council of judges ruled on Thursday that financial prosecutors Grigoris Peponis and Spyros Mouzakitis, who resigned in December over perceived interference in their work, should remain in their posts.

Of the 11 judges on the council, seven voted for the prosecutors to continue in their posts while four voted against.

The council was asked to intervene by Justice Minister Miltiadis Papaioannou.
