Greek PM proposes talks with Gruevski at EU summit
Prime Minister Lucas Papademos on Wednesday proposed a meeting with his counterpart in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Nikola Gruevski.
In a letter to Gruevski, the Greek premier suggested that the pair meet on the sidelines of the European Council that will take place in Brussels at the beginning of March.
Papademos said that an upcoming visit by United Nations mediator Matthew Nimetz to Skopje to discuss the name issue would be ?expected to contribute to the ongoing process for the resolution of the issue, provided that both sides show the necessary political will.?
