Attica Region fixing vandalized traffic lights
A team of engineers from the Attica Region began repairing dozens of traffic lights in central Athens that were damaged during rioting on Sunday.
Attica Governor Yiannis Sgouros said he hopes the work will be completed by Monday.
The responsibility for these kinds of repairs would have rested with the Public Works Ministry in the past. Sgouros said the regional authority was happy to take over this task but that it would need to be given the relevant funds as well.
