Athens businessman found dead in car
The owner of an electronics store in the western Athenian suburb of Egaleo was found dead in his car at 6.40 a.m. on Tuesday morning, with initial police reports suggesting that he may have been the victim of a robbery.
The unnamed 52-year-old was found by police in the driver’s seat of his car, which was stopped on the side of the road on the corner of the thoroughfare of Thivon and Kountouriotou streets. He had large amounts of blood on his head, which investigators believe may have been caused by a gunshot.
A coroner is expected to confirm whether the man was murdered.
