Train back on track; roads closed in Pendeli, Dionysos

The Athens-Thessaloniki service of Hellenic Railway Organization went back into operation on Tuesday after being closed for a day following a rockfall due to rain at the Asopos station that forced authorities to close the tracks until they were cleared.

Traffic police meanwhile said that snowfall in the northern suburbs of Athens was causing problems for motorists, and that Pendeli Avenue was closed from the level of the military hospital to Aghios Petros, as was Dionysos Avenue, from the soccer stadium to the neighborhood of Anatoli.
