Blast rocks Piraeus ship supply company, injures woman

A powerful blast tore through the offices of a ship supply firm in the Piraeus neighborhood of Kaminia in the early hours of of Wednesday, blowing out windows in adjacent homes and shops, and causing a shard of glass to pierce a woman?s eye.

According to police reports, the blast, at 3.35 a.m., was caused by an explosive device placed in the entrance of the company?s headquarters on the corner of Kythnou and Naxou streets.

A woman who was walking past the building at the time was injured in the eye by a flying piece of glass.
