Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomaios, flanked by archbishops Anastasios of Albania (l) and Christodoulos of Greece, yesterday called for a European constitution to refer to Christianity. Addressing a Church of Greece conference in Athens, Vartholomaios said ancient Greece, Rome and Christianity had been decisive in shaping European civilization.
