Threat of Greek ferry strikes abates with signing of new labor contract
The likelihood of strikes by seamen working on passenger ferries abated on Thursday when the sailors and their employers signed a new two-year collective labor contract.
The agreement between the Greek Shipowners Association for Passenger Ships (SEEN) and the Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) means that the mariners will not receive any wage increases over the next two years.
