City of Athens opens advice and service points

The City of Athens is due on Wednesday to inaugurate seven centers created to provide assistance and services to residents of the municipality.

Modeled along the lines of Citizens Advice Bureaus (KEPs), which deal with state matters, the new advice points will offer a range of municipal services – from documents pertaining to citizenship applications to building permits – significantly reducing the headache of having to queue at City Hall.

They are located in all seven of the municipality’s districts and will operate Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

They can be found at the following addresses: 237 Eikostis Ogdois Oktovriou, Patissia; 42 Fokionos Negri, Kypseli; 59 Panormou, Ambelokipi; 251 Ymittou, Pangrati; 74 Trion Ierarchon, Kato Petralona; Lenorman & Alexandreias, Kolonos, and 3 Iroon Square, Psyrri.

Details of the services offered and a map of the locations are available at www.cityofathens.gr.
