Eight people arrested in three days over tax offences
Authorities said on Saturday they had arrested eight people over the previous three days for alleged tax evasion.
The amounts owed by the suspects, who were arrested in various parts of Greece, ranged from 46,677 euros to 5.7 million euros.
Meanwhile, Financial Police conducted checks on five doctors? surgeries and 15 cafes and restaurants, after receiving complaints from customers who rang the service?s hotline on 11012.
Officers said that two of the doctors and two of the eateries were found to have breached tax laws.
